The Town-on-Gorkhon is a sprawling, atmospheric urban environment divided into three sections: The Earth (slums/working class), The Knots (residential), and The Stone Yard (elites). Surrounding the town is the vast, mystical Steppe and landmarks like the Abbatoir and the Polyhedron.

There is no traditional XP system. Progression is based on inventory management and surgical skill. You upgrade your clothing for better protection against infection and physical damage, and you upgrade your lab to brew more potent tinctures and antibiotics using organs harvested from corpses.
